I have spent hours thinking of the Marines and our Military. I at one point was going to be a Marine. I wanted to fix the turbine helicopter engines. I chose the Marines because of their pride. I’m also not saying that other branches don’t have it ether because they do.
We should have pride in our Military. They go about their lives saving and persevering our freedom they help the weak and the unfortunate. They don’t have any sick days they don’t get any days off. They wake up every morning like we do and get ready for work except they might not come back. They form a bond with one another, a brotherhood. They have pride in them selves and one another. Wouldn’t you have pride in some one that fights next to you ever day of the week and if it wasn’t for them you might not be here tomorrow? I think you would have pride in that person. They would do any think to keep the innocent out of harms way. They try their hardest to keep other people and us safe. They’re giving their lives for our freedom and for our right to go out side and not have to worry about other countries taking over.
They have a brotherhood with one another. They start their friendship in boot camp, and it grows from there. They would do any thing for one another. When you don’t have some ones back or thee other way having a good military would be impossible. Pride is what is keeping a military alive. With out it we wouldn’t. A good military is a well oiled machine if one thing goes wrong the whole thing goes down.
I’m not saying that there’s not good reasons to not have pride in the military. Because there are, like having to do things you know are wrong, like blowing up a building that “might” have a bad guy in it. Also in turn civilians are killed and they did nothing wrong. War it a terrible thing and it destroys countries and what once was a beautiful land now sits in rubble. And its all because of us. We don’t realize that we do so much damage to the place were fighting. We will sometimes leave it a mess we don’t fix it and if were the “good” guys we would totally destroy the place but we do.
But we also rebuild the land before we leave, and we also take every precaution before we destroy a building. We try our hardest to keep the people who aren’t a part of the war out of it. But we also need to think about what the war is doing to our men. They come back with PTSD, they can’t sleep, can’t hear explosions and they in-turn go crazy. They aren’t the same person when they come back they change when they come back and it’s not for the better. There changed mentally and physically. Most of the time they can’t sleep because all they think about is the fighting, loosening a friend a bother.
Over all I know there is pride in our military. They are serving their country and protecting our freedom. They are saving the life of people who some times don’t deserve it. They wake up every morning to hell and they don’t even ask questions. War is a bad thing for a country. The only good thing that comes from war is showing us the pride that they have not only in them selves but in the military.
